Clinical Support Specialist at Virta Health

The Clinical Support Specialist at Virta supports our enrollment operations team. Their main responsibility is to provide clinical administrative support so Virta can safely and accurately enroll applicants in a timely manner. This position is responsible for the accuracy of all applicant health data which includes personal medical information, lab & EKG results and medical records.This positions collects, reviews, verifies, and enters information into appropriate systems and is responsible for verifying enrollment eligibility requirements are met. In addition, the  Clinical Support Specialist proactively reaches out to medical offices to obtain medical records and lab results.

The Clinical Support Specialist is an organized, process-focused person with strong administrative skills and attention to detail, and who is willing to tackle any challenge!

Responsibilities:

  • Takes ownership in collecting all applicant data required for acceptance
  • Calls medical offices and lab clinics to collect applicant medical information
  • Collects, verifies, enters, and maintains applicant data including medical histories and lab data  in Salesforce
  • Creates bug reports and assists our product and development teams in bug testing
  • Verifies applicant eligibility data
  • Communicates clearly with Enrollment Advisors and supports Enrollment Advisors in addressing applicant needs
  • Proactively troubleshoots system issues
  • Answers applicant questions and provides customer support to applicants

Requirements:

  • College degree  and minimum of 2 years of work  experience required; medical office or healthcare experience preferred
  • Highly detailed oriented
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent communications - written and verbal
  • Task oriented
  • Punctual, reliable and able to tackle any ask, large or small
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Multi-tasking ability
  • Demonstrates ownership in work product quality

Additional nice-to-haves:

  • Familiarity with Google Apps; i.e., Gmail, Docs and Sheets
  • Customer facing experience
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations, and strict adherence to patient privacy
  • Experience working a fast-paced, metrics driven organization
