Our innovations in nutritional biochemistry, data science and digital tools combined with our clinical expertise are shifting the diabetes treatment paradigm from management to reversal. Our mission: reverse type 2 diabetes in 100 million people by 2025.

Virta is available to 100% of the U.S population, and we are expanding our capabilities to bring our groundbreaking online type 2 diabetes reversal treatment to patients. As Virta’s Director of Enrollment Operations, you will work with the clinical and business operations team to improve our enrollment processes and increase our capacity to serve patients.  You will lead our on-going excellence in applicant and patient service while building systems to scale our processes and teams. You will play a key role in improving applicant satisfaction and care; including iterating on how Virta will most easily integrate with other providers and plans. A successful person in this role will love to work cross functionally to solve operational problems and systematically put together scalable solutions.  


  • People Leadership: Leading and scaling our enrollment operations team, including
    • Developing an organizational structure and growth plan
    • Attracting, developing and retaining talented people
    • Building a culture of service excellence and collaborative teamwork
    • Developing and managing to metrics that describe our processes and successful outcomes 
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Working across key teams, including:
    • Product Development- to align how we are delivering the Virta experience both through people and technology
    • Customer success- to ensure we are prepared for customer launches and requests
    • Clinical team- to ensure our patients are getting a smooth start to the Virta Treatment
  • Improve Applicant  and Customer Experience 
    • Follow up on applicant satisfaction survey to understand experience
    • Create/implement systematized solutions to patient experience issues
    • Develop strategy around what world class applicant experience would look like
    • Implement strategy 
  • Ability to iterate and scale
  • Help Virta Scale Operationally
    • Build data driven systems and processes to help provide transformative outcomes as we scale

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Lead Enrollment Operations function, including:
    • Current team of enrollment advisors
    • Recruiting and scaling a team of enrollment advisors
  • Partner with customer success team to understand key accounts and special needs
  • Partner with patient marketing team to understand patient voice and enrollment messaging
  • Partner with product development team to iterate on enrollment process
  • Partner with Clinical Excellence team to provide smooth transition of patients


  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and be data-driven in solving business problems 
  • Operational experience in a fast-growing, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience using technology tools to solve operational problems and build scale
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to listen to understand an issue and problem solve cross-functionally
