Propulsion Test Technician (Mechanical) at Relativity Space
Stennis Space Center, MS, US
  • Ensure that all engine test stand related equipment and services are performed on time and safely
  • Run high pressure panels, troubleshoot GSE leaks, torque assemblies, fabricate feed lines, run data acquisition systems, and perform
  • Clean tools, valves, regulators, instrumentation and other components
  • Troubleshoot engines and test cell systems
  • Perform stand and test article functional checks
  • Self-starter that performs work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
  • Operate and maintain propulsion test hardware
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of test stand equipment


Minimum Required Skills and Competencies

  • High school diploma or GED with 5+ years experience working on aerospace engines
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team and meet agressive schedules
  • Must be able to life a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • 10+ years experience working on cryogenic rocket propulsion systems
  • Experience with test procedures at NASA Stennis Space Center


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.  § 120.15 is required.
