Director, Product Marketing at Virta Health

Our innovations in nutritional biochemistry, data science, and digital tools combined with our clinical expertise are shifting the diabetes treatment paradigm from management to reversal. Virta Health is looking for an experienced marketing leader to join our Enterprise Marketing team and own the product marketing function, with a particular focus on health plan and employer markets. This individual will lead an essential function of Virta, responsible for driving major elements of our go-to-market strategy including: product-level messaging, product packaging, pricing, channel activation strategy, sales team enablement, and deal-specific support.

We are looking for someone with deep marketing experience in the healthcare space—someone who can help scale the product marketing function as Virta grows. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative role, focused on answering the question: how do we accelerate sales to health plans and employers?

Responsibilities

  • Lead go-to-market efforts for Virta Health’s treatment, including driving key strategic decisions around pricing, packaging, positioning, distribution
  • Plan and support new product launches
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Clinical Operations teams to develop messaging and positioning for health plan and employer leaders
  • Produce high-quality external content to support the go-to-market and marketing efforts, including sales presentations, solution guides, and demo videos
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to inspire, motivate, and track the impact of products and go-to-market strategies
  • Conduct competitive and market intelligence, as well as win/loss analysis to inform product positioning and remove key obstacles to sales

Qualifications

  • 6+ years working experience in product marketing, strategy consulting, or solutions consulting / sales engineering
  • 6+ years in the healthcare industry, preferably with a track record of selling and/or marketing to a clinical health plan buyer
  • Ability to partner with and command the respect of Sales teams
  • Phenomenal storyteller; experience building stellar customer-facing presentations and partnering with design teams to make them beautiful
  • Proven ability to build teams and scale a product marketing function
  • Comfortable utilizing and manipulating data to drive decisions
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%
  • BS/BA required, MBA preferred

90 Day Plan

  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement in current sales materials and processes, starting with sales team “wish list”
  • Prioritize marketing and sales collateral to be developed and begin executing on highest priority deliverables
  • Prepare for 2020 sales kick-off and go-to-market strategy updates, including potential refresh of pricing, packaging, positioning
  • Evaluate readiness and build out plan for new product launches in 2020
