Senior Marketing Manager at Playground Global

Our Senior Marketing Manager will primarily be responsible for content strategy for the firm across a variety of mediums, including social media, email, long-form (blog, Medium), presentations, and video. As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will bring Playground's perspective to life through a mix of channels, and create content that resonates with our target audiences. In addition, you will connect portfolio companies with the right content resources to fulfill their marketing goals.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

● Develop content strategy that complements our marketing goals and individual partners’ areas of focus

● Craft compelling written and visual content across a variety of social platforms to grow our audience and engagement

● Launch our first email newsletter, actively engaging with our community

● Engage Playground partners’ perspectives on key topics to develop original, long-form content on a regular cadence that is ownable for the firm

● Manage a network of freelance writers for special projects, and identify resources for portfolio companies

● Partner with our in-house design team to create visuals to complement the written content you create

● Work closely with leadership at the firm to promote Playground events that will draw the desired audience

● Identify opportunities to develop key audiences for Playground across new platforms and communities

● Measure and communicate performance weekly across channels

● Develop talking points and presentations for firm leadership for external speaking engagements and internal events

 

Qualifications:

 

● 5+ years experience in content marketing, brand marketing or social media marketing for a tech or financial services company

● BA / BS, or equivalent experience

● High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Ability to partner effectively with technical and business teams, and make technical topics more accessible

● Strong analytical skills and a desire to measure the impact of your work

● Proven track record of building an audience for content you’ve created

● Project management skills that lead to flawless execution

● Passion and curiosity toward technology
