Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Ayar Labs
Santa Clara, CA, US
Ayar Labs ( is disrupting the traditional performance, cost, and efficiency curves of the semiconductor and computing industries by delivering up to a 1000x improvement in interconnect bandwidth density at one-tenth the power. Ayar Labs solves the I/O bandwidth and power bottlenecks by moving data using light.  We use standard CMOS processing to develop high-speed, high-density, low-power optical interconnect “chiplets” and lasers to replace traditional electrical I/O.  Ayar Labs is experiencing a growing number of design-wins in Cloud, AI/HPC, Connectivity, Aerospace & Defense, and Intelligent Edge applications.  Recently, Ayar Labs demonstrated the industry’s first Terabit Optical Link for Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) and Chip-to-Chip connectivity.

Position Overview
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) position is a technical role that connects engineering with business objectives and ultimately successfully delivers product to customer programs. As customers learn how to leverage Ayar’s breakthrough products in their own solutions, TPMs must be capable of navigating strategic technical decisions to ensure customer success. TPMs are critical in helping balance, drive, keep control, and track cross-functional programs, streamline cross-team dependencies, while making sure that the overall product and any subassemblies delivery remains smooth and efficient.  TPMs are managers and must be able to manage from start to finish!  The successful Technical Program Manager will have optical systems and systems architecture background as well as familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and assembly and test processes.

A TPM is a trusted advisor in fiber optics, electro-optical devices, and the packaging of these devices.  It should come as no surprise that a TPM is a multifaceted position within Ayar Labs requiring several interdisciplinary skills for a successful TPM.
