The T&M Software team is responsible for providing tools that enable reliable Test & Measurement across the company. As we grow, we will be testing a wider variety of material at both large and small volumes. The T&M Software team will be responsible for working with the T&M team and research teams to develop a test execution and data collection system that enables the company to easily and robustly collect test & measurement data.
The core product of the team is the test execution software that takes a test specification, executes this specification by running test methods on test equipment, collects the data and passes it to the Data Platform for analysis.
The team supports consumers of the test execution system by providing guidance on the development of test methods. They do this by setting coding standards, performing code review, engaging in pair programming with these consumers, and providing documentation.
The team works closely with the Data Platform team to ensure that the test data is ingested into the Data Platform and that feedback from the analysis can be sent back to the test execution system.
The team is supported by the Controls team who write the equipment drivers and control systems used to send commands to instruments.
Experience engaging with internal stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their needs, and delivering simple, effective solutions is key to success in this role.

- 7 years of professional experience with Automation Software.
- Fluent in and have delivered several professional projects in Python.
- Experience deploying Automation software on both Linux and Windows.
- Relational Databases (SQL).
- Familiarity of standard T&M instrument communication protocols (VISA, SCPI, etc.)
